There is a give away going on over at Lorelei's Blog. She is my favorite jewelry maker! She is giving away the cutest little birdie by Summers Studio, and darling blue eggs by Kelley's Beads.
All you have to do is leave a comment on your idea of the best way to store beads! A winner will be drawn on Friday, June 25th.

So, here are a few pictures of my workspace. Currently I still mostly keep my beads in the little plastic baggies. I have ample supply of these baggies should any bust out. I just can't bring myself to turn them loose, unless I have a different setup that would better accommodate that. I do take them off of their string, usually. So I use these big plastic units with the drawers. They are rather shallow, 2 or 2 1/2 inches deep, and use one drawer for seed beads, one for metal, gemstones in another, pressed glass and round glass and then faceted and crystals in separate drawers too. Pearls, shells and wood and horn in other drawers. You get the idea. Inside the gemstone drawer, each row is color categorized.
The desk I use I actual found on the roadside! I love it, it's in great shape, and even has a slate top. I keep my stringing supplies and wire in those drawers. My setup works for me right now. And the best part of all of it, I'm able to spend a little time in it. Whereas before I was hard-pressed for that kind of time.
Peace and joy!
