Viola!

Spent an hour this morning at Barnes and Noble looking thru magazines and books, and getting inspired.  There was a really cool book with awesome ideas, I wish I could think of the name of it, and give credit.  So I tried out one of the many ideas which you take flowers, put them against white fabric, cover with plastic (like saran wrap), another piece of fabric (I did not do this part), and bang away with a rubber mallet....and viola!!
Here's my pic of it.  I picked a violet from the garden to use.  The fabric I used is a scrap of silk.
I love this idea...so cool!
So much creativity going on in the world out there.  And I want that book!!  :)

can you believe this color is all from the flower itself!!  I'm awed!
